The Philippine Daily Inquirer on Wednesday apologized for publishing an unflattering montage of photos of defense witness Demetrio Vicente.
"It has come to our attention that our photo of witness Demetrio Vicente on our front page today has offended some of our readers. For this we sincerely apologize. It was not our intention to disparage Mr. Vicente in any way," Javier Vicente Rufino, director for mobile of the Inquirer group, said on his Twitter account @turgon.
The same statement was posted on the newspaper's Facebook page.
